Twiga Lodge & Camp is a simple but comfortable place to stay while on a budget safari. It is well located and can be used as a base whilst visiting the parks around northern Tanzania (but it is closest to Lake Manyara National Park). There is an area for setting up your tents and rooms are available for those who would prefer a bed. There are three choices of rooms to choose from. The pictured “executive” rooms offer great value for money and come with an en-suite bathroom with hot water, a fan, fridge, and TV. Room arrangements come in single, double, twin, and triple. Other rooms are “standard” and “budget” They too have en-suite bathrooms.
The dining area is comfortable and the food is plenty. There is also a small internet café which guests can use whilst waiting for their dinner. Live traditional dancing is often arranged in the evenings.
A mini supermarket is connected to the lodge for guests to buy items such as soap, drinking water, etc. Additionally, reception can assist guests in need of laundry services or money exchange. There is also a hotel swimming pool.
Staying at Twiga Lodge & Camp is a good value for the price.
