The Ngorongoro Farm House was opened in 2003 and sits just 5 km from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, facing the Oldeani Volcano. The lodge is nestled on a 500-acre working coffee farm and consists of 50 cottage accommodations. Local vegetables are grown on the farm and animals can be seen roaming past the Farm House.
Guests may book king, double, twin, or triple room accommodations. Some of the amenities enjoyed are private verandas, telephones, en-suite bathrooms with built-in showers, mosquito nets, cell phone reception, and credit card options (network permitting). Internet is offered but not guaranteed. A swimming pool may also be utilized during the warmer months. Guests may also purchase firewood on-site for use in their rooms.
Guests may choose from local or international cuisine, both using fresh produce grown on-site and may dine indoors or on the outside veranda. Wine and other drinks are available for purchase. The Ngorongoro Farm House is ideal for mid-level travelers.
