Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is just 1 km from Volcano National Park in Rwanda. The lodge is built bungalow-style amidst serene view of Rwanda’s volcanic mountains. Many guests select this lodge for its close proximity to the entrance to gorilla trekking.
Each guest room consists of a double bed, hot water for en-suite bath, telephone, and seating area. An in-room fireplace is lit when temperatures are low, and hot water bottles are provided by staff every night for warmth and comfort for sleeping. Triple occupancy is not available at the lodge.
Food is served buffet-style with a mix of international and East African cuisine in the dining room. Other amenities enjoyed by guests in the common area consisting of a television, couches, bar, and viewing area.
Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is run on generator power, so guests should check with reception regarding power availability to coordinate hot water for showers. When returning from gorilla trekking, the onsite staff will clean mud-soaked boots and return them to guests’ rooms for use the next day.
